WLR2

The introduction of Wholesale Line Rental 2 allowed customers to take a complete package from one alternative supplier rather than having the service split across two companies resulting in two bills.

The end of March 2004 saw the launch of WLR2, which introduced additional functionality intended to make the proposition more attractive, the removal of the additional 10 day cooling off period for associated CPS orders and the introduction of an automated gateway which would support B2B (i.e. business-to-business) provisioning of WLR orders.

Vangent has been a regular attendee and contributor to the industry WLR Process and IT Automation groups and has developed a Managed Service Platform to support Service Providers (SP’s) very much like how we have been able to support CPS Operators.

We have invested in developing a B2B interface with BT’s XML gateway which can be used by all SP’s as a cost-effective alternative to the more manual and labour intensive web portal currently offered by BT.

In addition we have put the infrastructure in place to provide a more comprehensive support package which aids the SP during the transfer process and the in-life support of the line.
