Pearson Government Solutions to run data capture operations for

UK Census Test in 2007

Pearson Government Solutions Ltd, as part of a team led by Lockheed Martin UK, has been selected to carry out paper data capture during 2007 Census Test for the UK Census authorities led by the Office of National Statistics in pursuit of the 2011 UK Census programme.

Proposals to operate the full 2011 census will be made towards the end 2007. If the Lockheed Martin UK team is awarded the contract next year, Pearson Government Solutions will be responsible for facilities, operations and staffing for the paper data capture centre which is at the core of the UK Census programme.

Pearson Government Solutions has considerable experience in undertaking data capture from Census forms, having run data operations for the US Census in 2000 and the Venezuela Census in 2001.

Lockheed Martin UK delivered the 2001 UK Census. Pearson Government Solutions is currently part of the Lockheed Martin US team responsible for the 2010 US Census.
